NCR Voyix Transforms Workplace Experiences with AtlasIED

For more than 140 years, NCR Voyix has helped retailers and restaurants modernize the customer experience through innovative commerce technologies. As a global leader in point-of-sale systems and digital commerce platforms, the company operates dozens of locations worldwide while continually redefining how businesses connect with their customers. At its Atlanta headquarters, NCR Voyix wanted its own workplace to reflect that same spirit of innovation by creating flexible, collaborative spaces capable of supporting everything from executive meetings and training sessions to customer demonstrations, employee events, and live entertainment.

As NCR Voyix continued evolving its headquarters into a dynamic, multi-purpose environment, its AV infrastructure needed to keep pace. The headquarters regularly hosts executive meetings, customer presentations, corporate conferences, live bands, employee gatherings, and outside production companies, with multiple activities often occurring simultaneously throughout the building. Managing these diverse applications required an audio solution that could provide exceptional flexibility while remaining intuitive enough for employees to use without specialized knowledge or experience.

Working alongside systems integrator NCI, NCR Voyix selected a scalable, NCR VOYIX | CASE STUDY IP-based audio ecosystem built around AtlasIED technologies. The phased deployment allowed the organization to modernize its audio infrastructure while minimizing disruptions to daily operations.

Serving as the foundation of the installation, AtlasIED's Atmosphere platform provides centralized audio processing, control, and management throughout the event spaces. NCI deployed an eight-zone Atmosphere AZM8 DSP as the heart of the audio system, complemented by multiple Dante-enabled DPA1202 amplifiers that power loudspeakers throughout the headquarters. Together, the Atmosphere platform and DPA Series amplifiers create a unified ecosystem that simplifies operation while providing the flexibility to accommodate multiple simultaneous events and future expansion.

One of the facility's signature gathering spaces is the Marche, where employees and visitors regularly gather for meetings, dining, customer events, and entertainment. To create an engaging yet unobtrusive audio experience, NCI installed nearly 100 AtlasIED PM8FA two-way pendant loudspeakers and PM8SUB pendant subwoofers throughout the open-ceiling environment.

Working together, the pendant loudspeakers deliver clear speech, full-range music reproduction, and impactful low-frequency performance while blending seamlessly into the architecture. Their wide, even coverage ensures every event, from presentations to live performances, provides an exceptional listening experience without distracting from the design of the space.

"We just wanted the space to sound good. We wanted it to look good," said Zettler. "You don't realize there are so many loudspeakers hanging in our Marche area. You don't realize there's all this DSP running in the background handling our different events. That was a really big thing for us."

AtlasIED AS-10T surface-mount loudspeakers were installed around the bar to deliver clear, powerful audio for music playback and special events while providing consistent coverage throughout the area. Designed for demanding commercial environments, the two-way loudspeakers combine outstanding audio performance with durable construction and versatile mounting options, ensuring reliable operation for years to come.

To make the system equally easy to operate, NCI equipped the facility with intuitive user controls. An Atmosphere C-ZSV wall controller gives staff convenient control over audio levels and source selection across multiple zones, while an Atmosphere C-T4BT Bluetooth wall controller in the Marche and an A-BT Bluetooth wall audio input in the gym allow authorized users to stream music directly from smartphones, tablets, and laptops. Together, these devices eliminate complicated setup procedures while providing reliable wireless connectivity that makes sharing audio quick and effortless.

That emphasis on simplicity and consistency has become one of the installation's greatest successes. Employees with varying levels of technical experience can confidently manage audio routing and sources, adjust volume levels, connect Bluetooth devices, and configure spaces without relying on dedicated AV personnel. The intuitive Atmosphere interface and consistent audio coverage across the venue keep the technology in the background while employees focus on creating memorable experiences for customers, partners, and colleagues.

"The way that the Atmosphere platform has changed our interaction with all of our AV spaces is really simple. It's ease of use," said Zettler. "It's one thing to say that you just open the box and it works, but Atmosphere is exactly like that. It takes zero time to really dive into it. It's very intuitive."

Throughout the project, AtlasIED and NCI worked closely with NCR Voyix to ensure every aspect of the installation aligned with the company's operational goals, technical requirements, and budget.

Today, the AtlasIED solution provides NCR Voyix with a scalable, enterprise-ready audio platform that supports everything from executive meetings and customer presentations to employee gatherings and live entertainment. Staff can quickly configure spaces for different activities, outside production teams can integrate seamlessly into the environment, and visitors enjoy consistently high-quality audio throughout the facility. The solution has become an integral part of the headquarters experience, reinforcing NCR Voyix's commitment to innovation while creating an engaging, flexible workplace for employees, customers, and partners alike.
