The Position:

We are seeking an experienced and energetic Warranty Repair Technician.  Ideal candidates will have excellent communication and organizational skills, be self-motivated, able to multi-task and work efficiently.  The position will diagnose and provide quality repair services to MiTek customers.

This role is on-site, 5 days a week. Remote option is not available. 

Looking for qualified candidates in the Phoenix, AZ market. 


Essential Functions

  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, test procedures and test equipment.
  • Perform routine diagnostic tests to determine repair or restock and perform routine and semi-routine repairs on returning products.
  • Perform routine tests to ensure production quality standards are met on products tested and recognize failures.
  • Reconcile all warranty receivables and post credit requests through the computer database on a timely basis.
  • Prepare orders for return shipping – packaging dependent on carrier.
  • Customer service by phone, e-mail, and in person.
  • Knowledge of and ability to work within and diagnose IP Network Systems.
  • Repair surface mount and thru-hole components by soldering and/or desoldering components.
  • File and maintain all service records as required by the warranty procedure.


Education

High school or its equivalent

Experience

Some technical training in basic electronics or equivalent

Experience in Supervisory/Leadership Roles a plus

Experience in Customer Service a plus


Skills

  • Basic understanding of MS Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • The ability to learn MiTek internal computer system
  • May be required to work from a ladder or personal lift and become forklift certified and drive a forklift
  • Ability to identify parts cosmetically and/or by bar code and/or by part
  • Ability to use hand tools and soldering for repair
  • Ability to use diagnostic testing procedures
  • Ability to operate AC/DC auto tester; pulse generators, meters; power supplies and special AC test fixtures
  • Ability to read blueprints and schematics
  • Ability to enter data accurately into warranty tracking database
  • Ability to troubleshoot electronic failures
  • Performs hand set-ups for AC and DC digital test
  • Ability to maintain internal MiTek system records for warranty repairs.
  • Knowledge of Shipping/Warehouse procedures and the ability to track and process all order through Databases and Carriers.

Test/repair center setting varied sound levels, varied temperature, and fast paced.

Must be authorized to work in the United States.
