The Position

We are seeking a technically capable and market-aware Product Manager to support the continued growth of the IP Loudspeaker category within the physical security and professional AV markets. Ideal candidates will have strong communication and organizational skills, thrive in collaborative environments, and possess a customer-focused mindset. Candidates must also be self-motivated, able to multi-task, and work effectively across engineering, sales, support, and partner organizations.

The Product Manager will support product development activities related to third-party security integrations, interoperability, platform enhancements, and hardware expansion initiatives across multiple vertical markets. This role will work closely with the existing Product Management team, Engineering, Sales, and technology partners to help deliver integrated communication solutions that align with customer and market needs.

This position is ideal for someone with hands-on industry experience looking to expand beyond traditional field engineering, systems integration, technical support, system design, or FAE responsibilities into product management and strategic product development.

This role is on-site, 5 days a week. Remote option is not available.

We are looking for qualified candidates in the Elkhart, IN, Phoenix, AZ, or Salt Lake City, UT markets.


Essential Functions

  • Support development and maintenance of integrations between IP loudspeakers and third-party security platforms including VMS, access control, and related ecosystem technologies.
  • Coordinate technical integration activities between internal engineering teams and partner technical resources.
  • Participate in API reviews, interoperability testing, deployment validation, and issue resolution activities.
  • Assist with identifying and prioritizing integration opportunities based on customer demand and market relevance.
  • Support development of new platform features related to AV, paging, mass communication, and integrated system workflows.
  • Contribute to hardware expansion initiatives including endpoint devices, peripherals, and ecosystem accessories.
  • Gather customer and market feedback related to usability, workflows, deployment requirements, and feature enhancements.
  • Assist with documenting feature requirements, hardware requests, and integration-related improvements.
  • Participate in product validation activities for new hardware, software, and platform capabilities.
  • Contribute to product feature discussions and roadmap planning related to interoperability, ecosystem expansion, and platform enhancements.
  • Assist in evaluating and prioritizing product and integration initiatives based on customer demand, strategic alignment, and business impact.
  • Create early-stage business case evaluations for new features, integrations, and hardware additions.
  • Research security industry standards, AV technologies, and emerging market trends relevant to IP loudspeaker solutions.
  • Support interoperability and certification activities related to ONVIF and other ecosystem requirements.
  • Contribute to integration documentation, compatibility guides, FAQs, and partner-facing technical resources.
  • Work with system design, engineering, and support teams to improve deployment readiness and integrated solution support.
  • Participate in customer meetings, partner sessions, and industry events as needed.
  • Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, QA, Sales Engineering, and support teams to identify and resolve integration or deployment challenges.
  • Assist with interoperability testing and validation across partner environments and integrated solutions.
  • Track and document integration status, compatibility issues, and validation outcomes.
  • Support discussions with technology partners regarding integrations, feature alignment, and technical compatibility.
  • Analyze customer and partner feedback to help guide product improvements and feature prioritization.
  • Maintain awareness of emerging technologies, interoperability standards, and competitive solutions within the physical security and AV industries.
  • Support internal discussions related to interoperability, usability, deployment workflows, and customer-driven improvements.
  • Provide technical support and coordination for assigned integration initiatives and product enhancement activities.

Essential Tasks

  • Works with Project Management team to ensure MiTek gate processes are followed.
  • Assist with the continuous improvement of the MiTek gate process.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in a technical field or equivalent experience preferred but not required

Experience

Minimum of three years of experience in the physical security, professional AV, or related technology industries required

Experience with security technologies such as VMS, access control, or related systems preferred

Experience in systems integration, system design, field engineering, technical support, deployment engineering, or related customer-facing technical roles preferred


Skills

  • Proficient in all MS Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)

  • Ability to learn MiTek’s internal computer systems

  • Ability to travel within the US or international

  • Familiarity with IP networking and system integration concepts. Exposure to APIs, SDKs, interoperability standards, or integration troubleshooting preferred

  • Exposure to ONVIF and related interoperability standards preferred

  • Knowledge of audio systems, paging, or mass communication solutions preferred

  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to work effectively across technical and non-technical teams

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities

  • Ability to gather and communicate with customers, partners, and field feedback in a clear and actionable manner

  • Ability to present new products and features to senior leadership in using concise and direct communication methods
