AtlasIED's Charles Kowalczyk Named Among Presenters at 2022 Passenger Terminal Expo

Phoenix, AZ – As a respected leader in innovative mass communications and critical life safety solutions for airports around the world, AtlasIED is set to touchdown at the 2022 Passenger Terminal Expo (PTE) in Paris, France, with an informative presentation on "How To Enhance the Passenger Experience Through Partnerships."

AtlasIED's GLOBALCOM Mass Communicationa nd Emergency Platformis the communications solution airports rely on most, with systems operating in 85 percent of U.S. airports, along with other major transportation hubs around the world. GLOBALCOM uses Voice Over IP (VoIP) and Audio Over Ethernet (AoE) protocols simultaneously over a single IP-based network infrastructure. VoIP and AoE allows for an easy-to-control communications platform to integrate within the airport's existing network infrastructure.

GLOBALCOM is a key component of the extensive, multi-million-dollar terminal renovation at Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport (SDF), AtlasIED’s hometown airport. Using the highly-regarded life safety and mass communications system, SDF is a mission critical operations hub that optimizes passenger experience and streamlines terminal operations. The technology allows airport personnel to communicate quickly and effectively, getting passengers the required information to get to exactly where they need to be.

Kowalczyk is a 27-year industry veteran who has supported some of the most complex transportation-related technology projects in the United States by leveraging his experience and expertise in budgeting and forecasting. Thoben has been at the forefront of airport operations since 2010. Together, they will present on the conference's final day, giving attendees insight into how to best leverage partnerships between airports and manufacturers.

Kowalczyk and Thoben will explore the value that airport operators and systems manufacturers can get from working together to keep airport life safety and AV technology future-resistant, and why such partnerships make sense for modern, mission-critical environments.
