AtlasIED Enhances IPX Series of IP Endpoints with Innovative Features for Improved Mass Communication

Phoenix, AZ – A proven solution for mass communications, AtlasIED's IPX Series of IP Endpoints has been upgraded recently with innovative new features and capabilities. The updates, which AtlasIED debuts at ISE 2020 at Stand #7-N190, offer additional benefits to any facility that needs an effective, efficient means of providing audible and visual notifications, general paging, and emergency alerts.

Some of the key new features include the ability to modify the colors of the IP Endpoint flasher, as well as the text and background colors on its LCD screen. These updates provide clearly identifiable visual cues to the priority of the message, differentiating a general notification from an emergency notification, for example. Additionally, the brightness of the LCD screen can be adjusted for enhanced viewing, and improvements to the Acoustic Echo Canceller (AEC) provide greater intelligibility of SIP and intercom calls.

Launched at ISE 2019, the IPX Series of IP Endpoints has received numerous awards, including  2019 Best of ISE award in the category of Best Security Product, Digital Signage and Public Spaces from rAVe Publications, and named as a top contender for an AV award from AV Magazine.

“The team at AtlasIED continues to refine and reimagine our products based on customer input, and the recent enhancements made to the IPX Series demonstrates our commitment to the needs of integrators providing solutions for a wide variety of environments, including education, healthcare, transportation, industrial, and corporate,” says John Ivey, President at AtlasIED. “These are features that can have a dramatic impact on the safety and productivity of facilities through improved modes of communication.”

In addition to the aforementioned updates, the IPX Series of IP Endpoints now include the following:

  • Improved logging of system events
  • Enhanced volume control
  • Addition of an audio limiter
  • Improved resource and memory utilization
  • Improved registration status
  • Improved power management
  • Ability to disable local audio messages
  • IGMPv3 support
  • Line in loopback
  • Improved WebUI

The IPX Series is an excellent solution for expanding VoIP or SIP communications systems by integrating endpoints to offer greater coverage than traditional handset-based systems. The IPX Series includes speakers and visual displays, all with the foundational features found in previous models that have been serving the market for almost 20 years, now with modern styling and an upgraded high-resolution display.

Through a Unified Communications (UC) environment or the AtlasIED GLOBALCOM®.IP ecosystem, the IPX Series delivers smart automation, including pre-programmed notifications for common functions like bells and critical alerts. A comprehensive library of pre-recorded messages is available through GLOBALCOM®.IP or .EDU, which can be broadcast across the facility or directed to specific zones.

The IPX Series uses existing IT infrastructure for convenience and cost-savings and offers Auto Provisioning once it is on the network. “Talk To Me” Interoperability ensures the IPX units can work within any VoIP system, as they are open-platform engineered to communicate and be controlled by the top-selling providers of Unified Communications software platforms and standard SIP PBX systems.
